What are RFID Tags anyways?

RFID is basically an electronic or e-payment system to pass through tolls. Meanwhile, an RIFD tag or sticker can be stuck onto your windshield or headlamp.

Money is deducted via your Touch ‘n Go eWallet when the radio frequency chip within the tag is scanned at the toll booth.

Save RM35 on one today – or else…

After running a free pilot program for over 18 months to entice new users, Touch ‘n Go will now charge RM35 per fitting.

You can fit your tag at any fitment centre nationwide for absolutely free before 15 February 2020!

Also, toll payment is now a breeze with Touch ‘n Go’s eWallet as it can be topped up online.

Touch ‘n Go chief executive officer, Syahrunizam Samsudin, said the company has invested in one million TNG RFID tags for Malaysians during the pilot program.

What else can these tags do?

“Now it is time for us to move forward and continue to expand the use of RFID technology together with our partners across the mobility ecosystem. This includes fuelling, parking, and retail drive-thrus,” said Touch ‘n Go CEO.

22 highways including the Ampang-Kuala Lumpur Elevated Highway (AKLEH), Penang Bridge (JPP), and Lebuhraya Damansara-Puchong (LDP) are RFID live now!

Finally, to further incentivize the laziest of lazy bums, Touch ‘n Go is giving out an Ultimate RFID Toll Pass Worth RM2500 via the eWallet to 40 contenders!
