The ASUS ROG Zephyrus G14 is finally here! Since its first showing earlier this year, many of us have been patiently waiting for it to be released in Malaysia. Of course, we also couldn’t wait to check the price tag on the Zephyrus G14 before we splash our cash.

Performance

With a slim and compact form factor at only 1.7kg, the Zephyrus G14 packs an incredible amount of power.  You can expect desktop-level performance whether in gaming or productivity tasks with up to a Ryzen 9 4900HS and a GeForce RTX 2060 Max-Q.

For the battery, it comes with a 76Wh lithium-polymer battery, which should be enough for everyday use thanks to Ryzen’s power efficiency. For gaming, we still recommend plugging in for the best performance out of the Zephyrus G14. It also comes built-in with Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.0 for all your connectivity needs!

AniMe Matrixâ„¢

This is a precision-cut LED matrix on the lid that allows for user customization for custom graphics, animations, and other effects. If you’re the creative type, the possibilities are endless!

Can your laptop do this?

Display

The displays are pretty impressive. Not only are they IPS panels, but they are also 100% sRGB and Pantone® Validated! One of the criticisms of past Ryzen-based laptops were displays that were not the best, but seems like ASUS took note of that and put in great displays on the Zephyrus G14!

For all variants, the display included is a 120Hz 1080p panel. If you are going for the top-end Ryzen 9 variant, there is also a 60Hz 1440p panel if you do more creative and productivity work rather than gaming.

Pricing and Availability

Prices start from RM4,499 for the Ryzen 5 4600HS and GTX 1650 variant. Meanwhile, it tops out at RM7,699 for the Ryzen 9 4900HS and RTX 2060 variant. Both variants are available now with the rest coming in on August and September.
